SEX THERAPY
CONTENT AREAS: 60 HOUR REQUIREMENT
How To Meet Your Requirements
You can meet all your AASECT 60 hours of requirements in our upcoming calendar of live courses.
CST: AASECT requires that an applicant will have completed a minimum of sixty (60) clock hours of training.
Applicants must document at least 3 hours in each content area listed to the right, with a maximum of 20 hours in any one content area of A – F.
Of these 60 hours of sex therapy content, 30 hours must be live in-person and/or synchronous (live) online learning.
Time-Sensitive Requirements
AASECT identifies Content Areas C, D (*) as "time-sensitive". These categories include topics that change often and therefore the courses you take should contain up-to-date information. Recommended courses are within 2 years of the date you intend to apply for certification.
Recorded Courses
If you need to miss a course that is live, check out our incredible list of recorded courses that will also count toward your requirements.
In order to fulfill certification requirements, no more than 30 hours can be taken with recorded courses.
