Sexuality and Aging: Biopsychosocial Tools for Pleasure, Connection, and Extending Sexspan Thursday September 10, 2026 10 am – 5 pm Eastern/7 am – 2 pm Pacific (6 hrs) The Trainer(s): Pebble Kranz, M.D. Many older adults remain sexually active and see sexual expression, erotic connection, and relational closeness as central to quality of life and identity, despite persistent cultural narratives of decline. This daylong training offers sex therapists a clinically grounded, pleasure-centered, and inclusive approach to sexuality and aging, integrating medical, relational, and sociocultural perspectives while offering tools for collaboration with medical providers. Participants will deepen their skills in understanding menopause-related changes, late-onset hypogonadism/“andropause,” and “couplepause” within a biopsychosocial framework, including work with LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse older adults. The course highlights ways to help clients extend their “sexspan” by moving beyond performance-focused models toward flexible, creative sexual scripts that honor diverse bodies, relationships, and ways of experiencing erotic life in later years.
