Integrative Relationship Therapy: Foundational Clinical Training Wednesday July 22, 2026 10 am – 5 pm Eastern/7 am – 2 pm Pacific (6 hrs) The Trainer(s): Tammy Nelson, Ph.D. & Faculty Lecturer(s) Integrative Relationship Therapy (IRT) is a contemporary, trauma-informed approach to couples and relational therapy that integrates attachment theory, somatic awareness, sex therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), emotionally focused interventions, psychodynamic understanding, and relational neuroscience. This foundational course introduces clinicians to the core principles of IRT, including co-regulation, embodiment, erotic intelligence, relational repair, therapist presence, and the use of countertransference as clinical data. Participants will learn how to work with relational distress, shame, intimacy struggles, betrayal trauma, desire discrepancies, and attachment injuries while helping clients develop emotional resilience, differentiation, and deeper connection. The course emphasizes the therapist as an active participant in the relational field and teaches clinicians how to integrate body awareness, narrative meaning-making, and experiential interventions into clinical practice.
