Douglas Moser

Douglas Moser is a noted writer, editor, theatre director, and writing coach based in Connecticut. In addition to teaching playwriting for the Westport Writers’ Workshop, he has worked with the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute for the last four years, leading classes in “From Trauma to Drama,” finding new methods to transform traumatic experiences into creative writing. As a writing coach, he has helped writers across the spectrum—text books, professional books, memoirs, fiction—from proposal to published work. He’s been published in Echo, Peculiar the Good Men Project and in the book Dating & Sex: The Theory of Mutual Self-Destruction, Volume 1, Martian Chronicles, the anthology One Night Stand, and Beyond Queer Words Literary Magazine. Winner of the Connecticut Critics' Circle award for A Christmas Carol, which he adapted and directed at the Westport Country Playhouse; he made his opera debut directing the groundbreaking lesbian folk opera, Patience & Sarah at Lincoln Center.
