Wed, June 18, 2025 - 6 CE hours -- 10 am – 5 pm ET/7 am – 3 am PT 10 am - 1 pm ET Understanding and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse, Sex Exploitation, and Sex Trafficking with Dr. Leticia Browne-James In this 3-hour interactive workshop we will explore the complex and sensitive topics of child sexual abuse, the sexual exploitation of minors, and human trafficking, specifically sex trafficking. Designed for mental health professionals, we will examine the psychological, legal, and systemic impacts of these issues, provide trauma-informed strategies for identification and intervention, and emphasize ethical responsibilities. The course instructor will use case studies and evidence-based practices to guide participants in building competence and confidence when working with affected populations. 2 pm - 5 pm ET Cyber Sexuality / Porn Safety with Markie Twist, PhD, LMHC, LMFT, CSE, CSE-S, Reg COSRT In this course, Dr. Markie will discuss what is meant by “organic-synthetic relationships,” with specific attention to digihealth, digiattachment, and digisexuality. This will include exploration of our relationships in these three contexts with both mediating technologies, which includes experiences with sexting, online pornography, sex toys, and immersive technologies, which includes experiences with virtual reality, robots, artificial intelligenence. Dr. Markie will close the course with a brief discussion of digiaffirming clinical implications.
